Set of Four Linvosges Cider Cups
Stripes and polka dots bring a playful contrast to this set of four vintage Linvosges ceramic cider cups. Two striped cups accompany two spotted examples in complementary grey and ivory colourways. Their matching shapes connect the different decorations into a coordinated group.
Each cup has a wide bowl, rounded loop handle and small pedestal foot. The glossy surfaces catch the light along the rims and curved sides. Printed Linvosges marks appear on the undersides of all four pieces.
Two Striped Designs
The striped pair combines an ivory-ground cup with a grey-ground companion. Broad pale and taupe-grey bands follow the curve of each bowl. A fine dark line adds contrast between the softer horizontal colours.
The bands continue around the exterior, giving the cups a simple graphic rhythm. Their rounded handles repeat the ground colour. Small pale feet provide a neat finish beneath the wider bowls.
Two Polka Dot Designs
The spotted pair reverses the balance of light and dark. One cup has an ivory ground with grey and dark brown dots. The other uses a grey ground with large pale dots and smaller dark accents.
The scattered circles vary in size, giving the surfaces a relaxed appearance. Their spacing contrasts with the regular bands on the striped cups. Together, the designs offer variety within a restrained palette.
Glaze, Handles and Pedestal Feet
The interiors follow the lighter and darker colourways rather than sharing a single ivory finish. Grey cups have grey-toned interiors, while the ivory examples remain pale inside. All four have smooth glazed surfaces.
