This handmade Chinese wool rug combines a soft blue field with an ivory oval medallion and delicately coloured floral bouquets. Dating to approximately the 1950s, it offers an Art Deco-inspired interpretation of a formal floral composition.
The central bouquet brings together dusty pink, peach, cream, and muted green. A surrounding wreath extends into scrolling foliage, creating a generous frame around the ivory centre. Smaller bouquets punctuate the open blue ground without overwhelming its quieter areas.

Sculpted Flowers and Ivory Borders
