An exquisite vintage hand-knotted Turkish Hereke rug from the 1970s — a luxurious collector’s piece crafted entirely from 100% pure silk, pile and foundation alike, representing the absolute pinnacle of Turkish rug artistry. Hereke is the most prestigious name in Turkish carpet production, historically the supplier of rugs to the Ottoman Imperial Palace, and Hereke silk rugs are among the most technically demanding and collectible textiles produced anywhere in the world.

With a knot density of 13 × 13 knots per cm² (169 knots/cm²) — equivalent to approximately 1,090 knots per square inch — this piece represents an extraordinary level of technical achievement.
